Let me start off by saying there's not a whole lot of expensive gadgets. I really believe in knowing your camera and your gear and really working with what you have versus buying more and more stuff--because "the stuff" doesn't make you a great photographer. It's the person behind the lens. So in my bag: 1. Mark 11 camera1a. Contax 645 (because I love film and I love this camera)2. 580 ex 3. Canon 50 1.4 (I use this lens 75% of the time)4. Canon 70-200 is, 2.8 (love this for ceremonies)5. Canon 85 1.8 (love this for portraits)6. I always rent 35 1.4 for weddings (and this will be my next purchase)7. Lucky.I've heard it said often (and I've even said it to other people). "You're so lucky!"I've often wondered if there really is such a thing as luck. Perhaps it's a drive and focus to make things happen. Meet Nelly, Mariela and Sophie Sanchez. Their hearts are indistinguishable, so ebullient and loving. a minute in their presence and I could tell that their true beauty wasn't directly in front of me (although that is more than apparent). It was the looks of love and pride that they shared with one another. It was a sort of adulation that comes with knowing that the primary essence of who you are stems from a greater sense of you, quite simply and frankly--on the exhale of a loving family.
